Finally, we can post the second episode of 2×2 to the 10th. I’m delighted to introduce you to Kevin Flynn, Vice President of Recruitment and Candidate Services at CommonGood Careers.
I first met Kevin through the Independent American Express NGEN Fellows Program, as he was in the star studded Fellows Class of ’11. (By the way, apps are open for the ’13 Class, yo’.) It was instant karma – when he wasn’t cracking me up with random references to 80s sitcoms, I was impressed with his ability to connect with so many different leaders in the room.
His current gig has him trying to connect awesome organizations with obscenely talented people. When I thought about this pod, I knew this was someone I wanted to dig deeper on his approach to that work, and what he struggles with. I left the conversation even more convinced that he’s one of my most favorite people in the biz right now. We spend a little time talking about how he got into the game, and what keeps him hungry.
Also, stick around to the end for the special offer for you, for taking the time to listen to the pod. I welcome your feedback in the comments below.

That was terrific y’all…great discussion – both funny and intense. And love the space – spaces for interesting and intense conversations. Well done Mac…and KC, you rock.
Great to officially *meet* Kevin. Can relate to so many of your topics – very well done gentlemen!
Hey Lisa and Becky – thanks for sharing a comment. I’m taping my 3rd pod tomorrow – with David Lee (NGen Fellow ’12). Stay tuned!
